Analysis is where Flowstate’s AI agents do the work. It is the part of the platform where you take your video content and turn it into structured, reviewable, and actionable output, whether that is a list of highlight moments, a set of extracted data fields, a real-time feed of events from a live stream, or custom reasoning over video content.

Workflows

Before analyzing videos, create a workflow. A workflow is the reusable container for an analysis job. It holds the videos, the instructions or schema for the AI Watcher, and the outputs generated from the analysis. Workflows keep analysis organised and repeatable. You can add more videos, reuse the same instructions, re-run analysis, and build up results over time instead of managing one-off runs.

The three Analysis tools

There are three tools in Analysis, each built for a different type of task:
Use Custom Workflow for repeatable tasks.Write instructions in plain language. The AI Watcher analyzes your videos and returns output based on those instructions.
Use Structured Extraction when you need consistent, precise output.Define a schema with the exact fields and formats you want the AI Watcher to extract. Flowstate then returns the same structured JSON format for every video.
Use Live Workflow when you need to analyze a livestream in real time for alerts, analysis, or derivative content.Connect a live stream, and the AI Watcher analyzes it in real time. Use it for live sports, news broadcasts, or any event where you need to find moments, trigger alerts, or start creating content packages while the stream is ongoing.
The three tools serve different types of workflows. If you are unsure which one to use, start with Custom. It is the most simple tool and gives you a feel for how the AI Watcher works before you move on to more structured approaches.
